Iranian labour and social organisations: No to war! No to governments that make war!
Joint statement by labour and social organisations opposing the war and the current dangerous and critical conditions.

The military conflict between the two fascist governments of Israel and the Islamic Republic continues. This war has so far left more than a thousand people dead or injured on both sides, displaced millions of people, and created critical conditions for everyone, especially the most vulnerable in society: children and the elderly. In short, society has been pushed to the brink of a more dangerous precipice than ever before.
We shout again and again and say:
“Stop the warmongering, think about us!
Stop the warmongering; think about us.
We do not want war or killing; we want lasting prosperity."
However, by continuing its warmongering and pursuing weapons of mass destruction, including nuclear weapons, the government has created these 'hellish' conditions and imposed them on society in order to advance the policy of 'throwing Israel into the sea' and fighting the 'great devil of America'.
Society is extremely inflamed and in danger. The current situation has gone beyond poverty and insecurity, turning into a full-blown crisis.
The war that began on the first day with the aim of destroying the IRGC leaders, the Khatam headquarters and other leaders has today entered an even more dangerous phase of military conflict. The criminal government of Israel has even gone so far as to threaten to set Tehran on fire.
Killings and attacks on civilians by both sides are condemned.
The people do not want war, and we believe that, to stop this war, the causes of it must be destroyed. Therefore, we, the signatories of this statement, declare:
We do not want weapons of mass destruction or nuclear weapons, and we consider any nuclear activity by the Islamic Republic to be dangerous and detrimental to the people.
All of this has been achieved by plundering the lives and livelihoods of our people, with consequences including the spread of poverty and further insecurity in society and the region. We demand an end to these projects and to the war.
We do not want poverty, insecurity or discrimination, oppression and exploitation. Our response to this miserable and horrific situation, and our solution to save human lives, is to continue our revolution victoriously. We will not allow them to suppress our demands, block our path to progress or intensify arrests and repression under the pretext of war. Nor will we allow them to expand the scope of killing and executions with accusations such as 'Israeli spy'.
As workers, pensioners, teachers, truck drivers, nurses, bakers, wage earners and farmers, we have fought for welfare, livelihoods and freedom. Despite the dangerous conditions we face, we continue to protest and pursue our demands, standing united against war and warmongers.
In these circumstances, our response to these warmongers is to organise strikes and nationwide rallies against all kinds of oppression, discrimination, censorship and repression.
Enough of war, exploitation and misery! This is our final warning.
It is time for us to work together, stand united and join the movement to defend life, livelihood and freedom of expression, association, strike, assembly and protest, and to demand the release of all political prisoners. We must stand against the warmongers, reactionaries and terrorists.
Let's organise and unite to advance our struggles and fulfil our human rights.
We will continue to fight until these catastrophic conditions are overturned!
No to war! No to governments that make war!
